Erasmus+ opportunities

Erasmus+ started on 1 January 2014 and replaces current funding programmes run by the European Commission in the area of higher education, vocational training, adult education, youth activities and sports. It will run until 2020 and supports activities across all sectors and includes well-known international programmes such as Jean Monnet and Erasmus Mundus.

Erasmus+ is open to students and institutions in Partner Countries including Canada, a number of countries across Europe and beyond.

Joint master programmes for individual students:
116 Erasmus Mundus joint masters programmes will offer more than 4,000 full scholarships to students from anywhere in the world starting in September 2015.
Scholarship selection is open and Canadian students can apply directly to the courses. The competition is very strong and more information can be found here:

Individual PhD candidats and postdocs:
Every year the Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions will fund 3,000 PhD scholarships in Europe. There are vacancies all year round and Canadian candidates should apply directly to the projects. For more information visit:
